Baixa Digital

Baixa Digital is a project led by the Municipality of Porto and funded by the Recovery and Resilience Program, which promotes the digitization of a territory covering more than 400 commercial and service establishments, supporting merchants through the provision of co-created digital platforms, better connectivity in the territory, and improvements in public spaces.

Baixa Digital is a project that brings together commercial agents from Rua 31 de Janeiro, Rua Fernandes Tomás, Rua Passos Manuel, Rua Sá da Bandeira, Rua Santa Catarina, and Rua Santo Ildefonso, promoting the digitization of local commerce. The project, developed by Porto Digital and led by the Municipality of Porto, is a laboratory for experimentation and develops digital platforms to support merchants, co-created with the municipal ecosystem and local merchants, improvements in public spaces in terms of attractiveness and connectivity, and training and capacity-building programs. This project is part of the Municipality of Porto's strategy for Digital Commercial Districts, which also includes the similar Bombarda Digital project. Baixa Digital is a project funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) through the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
